Every year, sports fans spend billions on illegal sports bets. These sports bettors have no rights against fraud, no guarantee of data security or privacy, and no recourse to fight back against bad actors.  

In the wake of the Supreme Court repealing the federal ban on sports betting, states across the country have legalized sports betting.  States have every reason to bring sports betting out of the shadows and into a legal, safe market. Tax revenue only comes from legal, open transactions.

But who is looking out for the fans? You deserve basic consumer protections alongside legalization, like those found in our Sports Bettors’ Bill of Rights. Your state legislators need to hear that you want a competitive marketplace that protects sports bettors from fraud and other harm.
