NBCUniversal Locks Out Chiefs and Dolphins Fans

Sports Fans Coalition Executive Director Brian Hess issued the following statement in advance of the Chiefs vs Dolphins game streaming on Comcast/NBC-Universal’s Peacock app:

“For all the times that the NFL and its media industry flunkies justified the billions of taxpayer dollars spent on stadiums, the antitrust exemption written into federal law, and all the other public benefits showered on the NFL, here’s what American football fans get in return: you have to pay even more for the games you already subsidize," said Brian Hess, Executive Director of Sports Fans Coalition. "What’s next, the Super Bowl is only available on AppleTV? Lawmakers at the federal, state, and local level should stand up for fans and tell the NFL:  from now on, you only get your taxpayer money and get-out-of-jail-free cards if you make the playoff games available to everyone.”
